October to March for classic beach weather — but we’d also make the case for August. We went in monsoon and it was some of the best time we've had in Goa: green, quiet, and nowhere near as crowded.
Couples after a design-forward room with a private pool. Less suited to anyone who needs attentive, on-the-ball service throughout the stay.
We wanted a design-led room in Morjim with a private pool rather than a shared one, and this kept coming up for exactly that. The moody, dark-wood interiors photograph as well in person as they do online, and the location — close to the beach without sitting directly on the main drag — suited what we wanted.
Four-poster beds, rope art, and pendant lamps that make the rooms feel more like a design hotel than a beach shack. Several rooms come with a private plunge pool set into its own small garden — genuinely private, not just screened off.
Tucked into greenery just back from the beach, with jungle visible from the room rather than a direct sea view. Quieter than being right on the sand, with the beach still an easy walk away.
We didn’t have a meal here, so we won’t comment on the kitchen either way — worth asking directly or checking recent reviews if the food matters to your stay.
Most of the point is the room and the private pool. Morjim and Ashwem beaches are an easy walk for the rest of it.

The room and the private pool are worth it. Go in knowing the service can be inconsistent, and confirm your check-in time ahead of arrival.
